The QPE Series from Quinstar are Programmable Rotary Vane Attenuators that operate from 18 to 170 GHz. They have an attenuation range of 0 to 80 dB with a step size of 0.02 dB. These attenuators can handle an input power of up to 1 W, have an insertion loss of less than 3 dB and a VSWR of 1.3:1. They have an all-in-one design that seamlessly integrates the electronic controller and attenuator components ensuring a streamlined installation and operation process. These motorized rotary vane attenuators meet the stringent requirements of the aerospace defense and space industries. They require a DC supply of 24 V.
The QPE Series provides fine-tuned attenuation control using the front-panel numerical keypad and supports hands-free remote interfaces including USB-C, RS485, LAN, and the standard IEEE-488. These attenuators are available in compact housings that measure 4.25 x 6.80 x 3.60 inches with various waveguide interface options from WR-6 to WR-42.
