The RI 4410 from Ranatec is a 4-Bit Digital Step Attenuator that operates from 50 MHz to 6 GHz. It provides an attenuation of up to 95.25 dB with a step size of 0.25 dB. The attenuator can handle a CW input power of up to 28 dBm, has an insertion loss of less than 7.2 dB. It can be controlled via parallel or serial interface and 4 units can be controlled via one serial bus. The attenuator requires a DC supply from 2.3 to 5.5 V and draws less than 1.7 mA of current. It is available in a module that measures 52 x 79 x 12.4 mm with SMA jack connectors.
This attenuator can be used to accurately and reliably set RF-signal levels, either as an integral part of an in-service RF solution or as part of a wireless test automation system.
