AM0260A Image

The AM0260A from Polyphase Microwave is a Quadrature Modulator that operates from 0.2 to 6.0 GHz. It has a LO leakage of -50 dBm and an input IP3 (IIP3) of 32 dBm. The modulator has a conversion loss of 7 dB and provides sideband suppression of -45 dBc. It has an LO input power range from -10 to 10 dBm without the need for an external LO source. The modulator requires a DC supply of 5 V and consumes 500 mA of current.

The AM0260A offers manual and automatic LO feedthrough nulling. In manual nulling, LO leakage can be minimized within its operating range. LO leakage and IIP3 can be optimized manually via a USB 2.0 interface. The built-in power detector allows the device to perform self- LO-feedthrough nulling for LO frequencies up to 4 GHz in automatic nulling. This modulator is available in a module that measures 2.850 x 2.850 x 0.625 inches with SMA-Female connectors. It is suitable for application in doppler weather radars, quantum computing, and heterodyne transmitters.
