The Entry+ Module XM125 from Acconeer is a Radar Module for compact commercial products. It has integrated baseband, RF front-end, and antenna-in-package with a detection range of 20 meters. This module is optimized for high-precision people presence detection with the capability to recognize movement within configurable zones, motion detection, parking space occupancy detection, and level measurement (for example in tanks or waste containers) with configurable update frequency. It includes the A121 60 GHz Pulsed Coherent Radar (PCR) sensor and a 32-bit ARM® Cortex® M4 MCU from STMicroelectronics (STM32L431CBY6). The module requires a DC supply of 1.8 V, consumes 6.9 μA of current in idle mode, and 3.12 mW of power (measurement at 2.75 m).

The XM125 can be used either as a standalone module where users can embed their application on top of the Acconeer RSS (Radar System Software) or with an external host controller where communication to the module is executed via a register command protocol. It comes with a bootloader which enables the customer to download the Acconeer Radar System Software (RSS) software as well as the SDK (Software Development Kit) for standalone usage. This module is available in an LGA package that measures 18.6 x 15.0 mm with hermetically sealed reels for automated assembly.
