The E8719A from Keysight is an Automotive Radar Target Simulator that has a frequency range from 76 to 81 GHz with exceptional gain flatness complemented with over-the-air calibration feature enabling accurate target simulation. It has a simulation distance from 3 to 300 meters with a distance accuracy of ±5 cm and supports Doppler simulation up to ±500 km/h. This simulator has an instantaneous bandwidth of 5 GHz and is available as a single or multi-target (3 targets, 2nd, and 3rd target is fixed distance) solution. It employs the U9361M receiver calibrator for over-the-air calibration which enables accurate target simulation and provides a highly repeatable, metrology-driven automated routine. The measured losses can then be fed back into the simulator, where adjustments can be made to ensure a well-calibrated path for the overall radar target test. It provides options for horn antennas and front-end brackets and an additional calibrated IF port for connection to external devices.
