COMPACT DFD RECEIVER Image

The Compact DFD Receiver from Tualcom Elektronik has been designed to receive radar signals in the frequency range from 2 to 18 GHz and generate digital outputs using the LVDS interface. These outputs have a 14-bit resolution frequency and 1-bit data valid (bad data) - Can also be customized. This digital frequency discriminator receiver can be enhanced with switch multiplexer filters to eliminate undesired signals. This receiver can also be stacked to be used in multi-channel applications for direction finding (DF) capability.

The receiver can use an external (50 MHz, 100 MHz) or internal clock to generate the LVDS signals. It has a frequency sensitivity of 1 MHz, a dynamic range of 65 dBm (-55 to +10 dBm), and supports pulse width from 50 ns to CW. This receiver requires a DC supply of 12 V and consumes 600 mA of current.

The Compact DFD Receiver system is available in a rugged housing that measures 15.2 x 14.7 x 3.0 cm with SMA-female connectors and complies with the MIL-STD-810G standard. This low SWaP DFD receiver is ideal for miniature electronic support applications and deployment in small, unmanned platforms.
