The GRF-050 from ETL Systems is a 2x1 L-band SATCOM Redundancy Switch that operates from DC to 2450 MHz. It is a latching relay switch that can be used in individual or simultaneous modes with two module slots for multiple configurations. In manual mode, the switch may be triggered by front panel, RF level detection, alarm contacts or NMS. In auto mode, it switches to standby on detection of a fault in the main path.

The switch can handle an input power of up to 30 dBm and has an insertion loss of less than 2 dB. It provides an isolation of 60 dB and has a noise figure of 2 dB. The switch is available in 50/75 ? impedance-matched versions with typical input and output return losses of 16 dB. It has a DC voltage rating of 28 V and a current rating of 250 mA. The GRF-050 is available in a package that measures 1U (H) x 285 mm (D) x 19” (W) with SMA/BNC/F-type/N-type connectors. It is ideal for redundancy applications in satellite modulator, LNB/down-convertor, and modems.
