The SUCOFLEX 550S from Huber+Suhner is a Flexible Microwave Cable Assembly that operates from DC to 50 GHz. It has been designed to offer more than 100,000 flex cycles and high electrical performance with an enhanced mechanical design for durability. This cable assembly utilizes a patented rotary swaging technology for the flexibility of stranded inner conductors while maintaining the electrical properties of a solid inner conductor. It provides good performance up to 50 GHz with excellent insertion loss and phase and amplitude stability with flexure and movement.
The cable assembly has an outer diameter of 6.1 mm and a minimum bending radius (static) of 25.4 mm. This 50-ohm cable assembly has a signal delay of 4.3 ns/m and a velocity of signal propagation of 77%. It can handle a CW input power of up to 150 W, provides screening effectiveness of more than 90 dB (up to 18 GHz), and has a capacitance of 87 pF/m. This cable assembly features a copper (silver-plated) center conductor, PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) dielectric, a copper (silver-plated) outer conductor, steel armor, and a PTFE jacket. It has an operating temperature range from -55°C to +165°C.
