The PhaseTrack Low Smoke (PTLS) Series from Times Microwave Systems are Cable Assemblies that operate from DC to 38 GHz. Low smoke, zero halogen cable assemblies are essential in confined spaces where air exchange is minimal such as onboard ships and submarines. Fire is one of the greatest dangers in these environments, as accumulating smoke can obscure visibility for safe evacuation. When burned, low smoke cables emit less optically dense smoke that releases at a lower rate, making it easier for occupants to exit and protecting the safety of firefighting operations. Halogen-free materials also produce clearer, whiter smoke for better visibility and do not emit halogen’s toxic off-gases.

These cable assemblies are available in six sizes, from 0.2 to 0.6 inches, and have a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm. They provide 90 dB of shielding and have a velocity of propagation of above 84 % of the transmission signal. They are factory-tested and ensure optimal performance with minimal loss to meet the requirements of K-band and high-frequency systems. These low smoke, zero-halogen assemblies are available in custom configurations with a variety of industry-standard interfaces and are ideal for use in ships & submarines.
