InfinityXT Probe Image

The InfinityXT from FormFactor are RF/mmWave probes that operate from DC to 110 GHz. These probes can operate at higher temperatures, have better tip visibility and durability, and support narrower pitches for the evolving market. With the growth in the RF and microwave devices, driven by the automotive, mobile communications/5G, and IoT device markets, there is a requirement for high-performance mmWave probes.

These probes have an insertion loss of less than 2 dB and can handle more than 4 W of RF power. The probes can withstand DC voltages of up to 250 V, DC currents up to 500 mA, and have an isolation resistance of 200 MΩ. They can operate at a temperature range from -40 to 175 ºC.

The InfinityXT probes are available in two base versions, the IXT67 (67 GHz) and the IXT110 (110 GHz). They are available in angled-body style assemblies with non-oxidizing solid Rhodium tipped contacts that measures 12 x 5 um and 1.85 mm V-type or 1 mm W-type female coaxial connectors. The contact design offers better life, durability and supports narrower pitches as small as 25 um. These probes are ideal for automotive device characterization, on-wafer measurement, mobile communications/5G, and IoT device applications.
