The R4320C from CAEN RFID is a 4-port Embedded RAIN RFID Reader for high performance applications. It can be programmed to deliver an output from 10 to 31.5 dBm and is able to detect RAIN tags from 9 m. (30 feet) depending on the antenna and the tag used. The radio frequency core of the module allows it to achieve fast reading/writing operations and to work in dense reader and dense tag environments. It requires a DC supply from 3.5 to 5.5 V and consumes less than 8.5 W of power in Tx/Rx mode. The module is specifically designed to be easily embedded in battery powered devices such as high performance handhelds and sleds.
The R4320C module is suitable for RAIN RFID core components to design full size readers for portals, industrial automation readers or any RFID device requiring long reading distances. It features One USB 2.0 Full Speed (12 Mbit/s) device port and UART serial port for connectivity. The module is available in a package that measures 60.0 x 42.0 x 7.5 mm and is EPC C1G2 / ISO18000-63 compliant. It complies with and can operate in both European and US regulatory environments (865.6 - 867.600 MHz ETSI/902 - 928 MHz FCC) and is ideal for integration in devices requiring compliance to different geographical regions with its multiregional capabilities.
