The Model 409B from Novatech is a 4-Channel Direct Digital Synthesized (DDS) Signal Generator. It generates four independent, phase synchronous sine wave output signals and is programmable in 0.1 Hz steps from 0.1 Hz to 171 MHz. The frequencies of the four outputs can be independently set and can be offset from each other by 14-bits (0.02o) of programmable phase. The sine wave amplitudes are 10-bit programmable.
The signal generator has a single ±1.5ppm on-board TCXO clock that synchronizes all four output channels. The 409B has onboard RAM to enable high-speed agile frequency, phase, and amplitude modulation and hopping. It is available as a benchtop module that measures 39 x 107 x 172 mm with BNC connectors at the output.
