The RF2018B from Ranatec is ‘Plug-and-Play’ Switch System with 12 SP4T switch modules that operate from DC to 6 GHz. This solid-state switch box is designed for automation testing during the development and manufacturing of semiconductors and wireless devices. The switch system has an insertion loss of less than 1.9 dB (up to 3 GHz) and can handle up to 30 dBm of input power. It has a switching time of less than 100 microseconds and requires a supply voltage of 5 to 45 VDC.
The RF2018B switch box offers excellent linearity, power handling and speed. Switches are controlled remotely via a web-interface or textual (SCPI-like)API. This switch box can be controlled from any computer in the network via TCP/IP sockets or via its internal web server, using a very simple communication protocol independent from the operating system, programming language, etc. Ranatec’s RF2018B is designed for applications such as production testing of mobile handsets, production testing of mobile base stations, Built-In-Test (BITE) applications, and MIMO.
