The TTMAV-AWSPCS from Westell Technologies is a Twin Variable Gain Dual Band Tower Mounted Amplifier (TMA) designed for optimizing LTE cell site performance by improving base station receiver sensitivity. It operates from 1.71 to 2.155 GHz while providing full band operation for both the AWS and PCS bands. It provides a variable gain from 3 to 13 dB in 1 dB increments, which can be adjusted using an AISG 2.0 interface. This allows operators to control RET antennas via a daisy-chain cable from the TMA to the antenna, thus improving reliability and reducing cabling costs.
The TTMAV-AWSPCS can be mounted on a wall or pole and is available in a module that measures 9.6 x 6.7 x 7 inches with 7/16 DIN (F) connectors. With its diplexed BTS port, it’s ideal for sites where feeder cables are shared.
