The BNA100 Series from Bird are USB-Controlled Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) with a frequency range from 300 kHz to 8.5 GHz. They are ideal for those seeking cost-effective solutions without compromising on performance and accuracy. These VNAs can also be used for educational environments where hands-on RF technology training is crucial. These analyzers can accurately measure very weak signals to ensure that even the smallest signals are accurately captured and analyzed, which is particularly important in tasks such as filter characterization, where there is a substantial variation between stopband and passband power levels.

The BNA100 series have a measurement bandwidth from 1 Hz to 100 kHz, providing flexibility for laboratory and manufacturing applications. They facilitate testing without the need for an external power amplifier to boost the power level, thereby conserving bench space and reducing the overall cost of testing. These VNAs have a measurement speed of 68 µs/point for 2 to 20001 points at an IF bandwidth of 100 kHz, resulting in faster data acquisition with less time for environmental or situational variables to affect the measurement. They have a user-friendly GUI measurement and calibration software and can be operated via USB from an external PC, enhancing overall workflow efficiency.

They provide an output power from -20 dBm to +10 dBm and a dynamic range of 120 dB. These RF analyzers also support marker functions such as time domain transform, time domain gating, limit and bandwidth tests, sweep and scaling settings, and max/min/peak/target power values. They require an AC supply of 110 V/220 V. These RoHS-compliant VNAs are available in enclosures that measure 6.9 x 2.6 x 11.5 inches with N-type (female) connectors.
