Measuring a Diplexer with a 2 Port VNA

Diplexers are often used in Land Mobile Radio services to allow the connection of a single antenna to a transmitter output and a receiver input. The three-port device may be measured with a two-port Vector Network analyzer to minimize passband insertion loss while maximizing rejection of the other side. Some interaction of the two sides is expected so it may be necessary to go back and forth a few times to get both the Tx and the Rx paths optimized. This video will show that process.
