S pectrum analyzers are widely used for RF signals mea-surements. Due to the internal noise of the ana-lyzer’s measurement cir-cuitry, the signal power level shown is greater than the actual value. Accurate power level measurements of RF sig-nals require the addition of a correction factord to remove the effect of the test equipment’s non-ideal noise figure.
