The 5G15 Series from Molex are RF Flex-to-Board Connectors that are designed for 5G and other high-speed RF applications. They provide excellent signal integrity (SI) performance along with the robust mating features and PCB real-estate space savings needed in compact 5G mobile and other communication devices. These connectors operate up to 15 GHz and allow phone makers, RF module developers, and chipset makers to leverage industry-leading connectivity technologies. They have a pitch of 0.35 mm and a span of 0.30 mm for fast and easy mating and include a plug-over-mold design that prevents pin pullout. These connectors facilitate fast, trouble-free assembly with a solid click-feeling to prevent incorrect mating, offering robust peel force to increase reliability and minimize the load on assembly operators or automatic assembly machines.

The 5G15 series connectors include a center-shield contact within the receptacle or plug to isolate each row to further boost the overall SI stability, thus meeting the toughest 5G connectivity requirements. They have a current rating of up to 2 A (1 A/pin for 2 pins) and protect the connector from damage during mating. These connectors have a separation distance between two opposite rows of contacts to protect against EMI effects. They are ideal for use in home appliances (AR/VR devices, smart home devices, smartphones), industrial automation (5G and RF devices, IoT), and medical (patient monitoring, therapeutic, and surgical equipment) applications.
