The 1027-028 from Southwest Antennas is an Active GPS Antenna that operates in the L1 band from 1.565-1.585 GHz. This RHCP antenna provides up to 1.5 dBic of gain with a horizontal beamwidth of 360° and a vertical beamwidth from 113° to 133°. It features an active low-noise amplifier coupled with a narrowband SAW filter that provides an out-of-band rejection of more than 50 dB from 35 MHz above and below the center frequency of L1. The integrated LNA provides a gain of 11 dB, has a noise figure of 2.2 dB, and requires a DC supply from 2.5 to 24 V. This antenna is based on a commercial-grade solution that eliminates co-site interference, keeping it operational for critical location and timing services.
The 1027-028 is available in an IP67-rated enclosure that measures 2.13 x 0.70 inches and has an SMA-male connector interface. The antenna does not require a ground plane to operate.
