The RVX2213S from Rakon is a space grade VCXO that operates from 0.256 to 52.5 MHz. This VCXO has an extremely high pulling ability of ±375 ppm. It is manufactured in accordance with MIL-PRL-55310 Class 2, level S and is designed for space missions where it is resistant to the demanding environment, has a short lead-time and meets the radiation tolerance requirements. The oscillator has a frequency stability of more than ±50 ppm over a temperature range of -55 to 125 °C. It requires a 3.3 or 5.0 V supply, draws up to 20 mA of current and provides a standard HCMOS output. The VCXO has a duty cycle of 40% and a rise time / fall time of 10 ns.
The RVX2213S is available a radiation tolerant, hermetically sealed package that measures 22 x 13 mm and is designed specifically for space transmitter and receiver models. It is ideal for space applications such as clocks, gyroscopes, and frequency generation units (FGU).
