Maury Microwave Introduces Automated Impedance Tuners from 18 to 50 GHz

Maury Microwave Corporation, a leading manufacturer of laboratory devices and system components has introduced automated impedance tuners that are optimized for load-pull measurements at 5G FR2 frequencies. The Nano5G tuners offer high tuning accuracy with repeatability and are available in two models - NT-18G-50G-1C and NT-18G-50G-1C-C.

Nano5G's small size and low weight allow the tuners to be mounted directly to the probe tip for on-wafer measurements, thereby ensuring the highest tuning range (VSWR, lowest impedance) at the DUT reference plane. The direct connection also reduces the phase skew resulting in a minimize signal distortion and more accurate vector measurements when using wideband modulated signals. These tuners are ideal for on-wafer and connectorized measurements in the 18 to 50 GHz band.

Key features of the Nano5G Tuners:

  • They operate from 18 to 50 GHz.
  • These tuners can be mounted directly to the probe tip for on-wafer measurements.
  • They have the highest tuning range (VSWR, and lowest impedance) at the DUT reference plane.
  • The direct connection also reduces the phase skew resulting in a minimize signal distortion and more accurate vector measurements when using wideband modulated signals.
  • These tuners are available with and without an integrated low-loss coupler.
  • They have many advanced features such as dual TCP/IP and USB interfaces.
  • These tuners are available in two configurations - wafer and connectorized.
