The QTRM from Spectrum Control is a 4-channel Beamforming TR Module that operates from 9 to 10 GHz. It is a versatile, feature-rich module with channel-independent active gain and phase control intended for AESA applications in the X-band frequency range. In the Tx mode, this beamformer module provides a small signal gain of more than 30 dB and offers output power options of 1, 5, or 10 W. On the Rx side, it delivers a gain of 25 dB, an output P1dB of 2 dBm, and a noise figure of 3.5 dB.

The QTRM has been developed to maximize ease of use and performance together with low simplified infield configurations and maintenance. This extensively calibrated beamforming module reduces array-level test requirements during production and allows modules to be freely replaced within an array without affecting beam pattern when in service. It requires a DC voltage supply from 22 to 28 V and consumes less than 10 W (Rx) of power. This quad-channel module measures 178 x 59.5 x 14.5 mm and is ideal for RADAR and directional communication applications.
