LPFRS Image

The LPFRS from Safran is a Rubidium Oscillator that operates at a frequency of 10 MHz. It provides a sine wave output with a phase noise of -140 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz and has a short-term stability of 2 x 10-12 /100s. The oscillator has spurious levels of less than -80 dBc and harmonics of under -25 dBc. It requires a DC supply of 18-32 V.

The LPFRS is available in a compact module that measures 76 x 77 x 36.5 mm and can be controlled via an RS-232 interface. It is ideal for telecom, navigation, broadcast, defense, instrument, synchronization telecommunications (SDH, SONET, SS7, GSM, TETRA), digital audio broadcast, TV transmissions (analog & digital), military communications, navigation, instrumentation, tracking, and guidance control applications.
