
Ceva, a global leader in silicon and software IP for smart edge devices, reports that WUQI Microelectronics has successfully integrated the Ceva-Waves Wi-Fi 6 High-Performance STA IP platform into its latest Wi-Fi/Bluetooth combo chip, the WQ9201. Designed for high-speed data transmission, the WQ9201 targets a range of consumer electronics, including smartphones, tablets, PCs, TVs, and set-top boxes. This milestone marks a significant advancement in wireless connectivity, with WUQI’s WQ9201 recently winning the 2024 "China Core" Excellent Technology Innovation Product Award.
The Ceva-Waves Wi-Fi 6 IP delivers industry-leading efficiency, low power consumption, and high-performance wireless capabilities, providing WUQI with a compact, cost-effective hardware modem and MAC accelerator. This enables WUQI to focus on innovation while ensuring a best-in-class Wi-Fi 6 solution. With its proprietary RF dual-band architecture and low-power CMOS PA technology, the WQ9201 supports dual-band concurrency (DBDC) at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, ensuring high throughput and stable wireless transmission even in demanding environments.
