TU Delft to Conduct Immersive 5-Day Course on Phased Array Systems

Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) from Netherlands is hosting “International Summer School on Phased Array Systems”, an immersive 5-day course from September 29 to October 3, 2025, that brings together leading experts, hands-on projects, and a vibrant program of social activities - all designed to help master the core technologies of phased array systems from a unique, multidisciplinary perspective.

Understanding phased array operation requires a multidisciplinary approach, which is based on antenna arrays, microwave circuits, and signal processing theories. By bringing these three areas together, the school provides a unique, integral approach to mastering the building blocks of various wireless communication and sensing systems. This course will apply the phased array foundations to multiple societally relevant areas, including 6G, surveillance radar, and biomedical applications. The education will be complemented by a MATLAB-based practicum & project.

A certificate of 5 ECTS points is provided to those who have completed the course.

Topics in the Phased Array Course Include:

  • Foundations of active antenna arrays
  • Front-end architectures for beamforming
  • Array signal processing and calibration
  • Resource management techniques
  • Comms. & sensing applications and system requirements

In addition to lectures, lab tours, a practicum, and a wide range of social activities, free lunches are also planned.

Course Fee: €550 (Academia) / €1100 (Industry) - A limited number of registration fee grants will be available.

Deadline for registration: 14th September 2025
