Qorvo has introduced the QPP0025, a surface-mount balun designed to support radio-frequency applications operating from 5 to 1218 MHz, targeting systems that require compact size, low insertion loss, and consistent electrical performance.
The QPP0025 incorporates a 1:1 impedance ratio with a 75 Ω characteristic impedance and supports balanced-to-unbalanced signal conversion across a wide frequency range, with differential-to-single-ended insertion loss specified below 1 dB across the band. It supports continuous-wave RF power levels less than +30 dBm and specifies differential and single-ended return loss values of more than 15 dB, depending on operating frequency.
The balun is a surface-mount device available in an SP7 package measuring 3.80 × 3.80 mm. This component is lead-free, RoHS-compliant, and operates across temperatures from −40 °C to +100 °C. The QPP0025 is optimized for use with Qorvo slope equalizers in the QPC733X series up to 1218 MHz. Stated applications include broadband and CATV systems, mobile infrastructure, and general-purpose wireless designs. The device is supplied in tape-and-reel format, with S-parameter data available upon request.
