
TE Connectivity has released the L001421-01 Phantom Titan Antenna, a low-profile outdoor cellular antenna intended for use in harsh and moisture-prone environments, including wastewater and ground-level applications exposed to caustic conditions and flooding. The antenna supports a wide frequency range from 617 to 7125 MHz, enabling multi-band cellular and NTN operation across global networks, including regions requiring lower 600 MHz spectrum bands.
The antenna provides omnidirectional coverage with vertical polarization and a gain of 6 dB, supporting consistent signal transmission across applications. It uses a precision design with a 50 Ω SMA connector and a direct-mount configuration, allowing installation in outdoor and industrial environments. The antenna enclosure is rated IP68, with testing indicating resistance to water immersion up to 5 meters for 30 days.
The L001421-01 features a compact form factor measuring 86 x 45 mm and incorporates a threaded stud mounting system with a shake-proof washer and locking nut. Its construction includes a rodent-resistant braided cable and materials tested for exposure to sulfuric acid, hydrogen sulfide, methane, and other gases commonly present in wastewater environments. Additional testing standards include ASTM G155, ASTM G210, UL94-V0, IEC 60068-2-27, and IEC 60068-2-64, indicating resistance to UV exposure, flammability, vibration, and mechanical shock.
The antenna operates across multiple frequency bands, supporting applications ranging from 617 to 960 MHz through higher bands up to 7125 MHz, with a VSWR of less than 2.50:1 across the range and an azimuth beamwidth of 360°.
Designed for use in infrastructure and industrial environments, the antenna is intended for applications including water monitoring and management systems such as sewers, storm drains, culverts, and water tunnels, as well as environmental monitoring across rivers, canals, floodplains, and marsh areas. It is also suited for industrial and utility installations, including liquid processing facilities, substations, underground infrastructure, and ground-level or below-ground operational environments.

Additional use cases include deployments in sectors such as mining, ports and maritime operations, agriculture, breweries, robotics, and transportation infrastructure such as tunnels, underground roadways, and rail systems, where exposure to moisture, chemicals, or physical stress is common.
