Harris Corporation Bags a $17 Million Contract by U.S. Army Dental Command

 

Harris Corporation has been awarded a $17 million contract to deliver helpdesk and sustainment support to the U.S. Army Dental Command’s Corporate Dental System located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. This contract includes a five-month base period and three one-year options. It is a re-compete of the $4 million contract won in 2011 and was awarded under the Network-Centric Solutions contract vehicle.

Under the contract, Harris will deliver information management support to maintain the Command’s suite of software applications including the Corporate Dental Application and its associated modules, and the Digital Enterprise Viewing and Acquisition Application. Specific tasks will include programming; database administration; requirements analysis; system interface support; information assurance; Health Information Portability and Accountability Act compliance; documentation management; configuration management; tier 2 and 3 helpdesk support; lifecycle management; and other critical information management duties.

IT specialists stationed at bases in the continental United States, Germany and South Korea will provide helpdesk and sustainment support to 206 U.S. Army and 113 U.S. Air Force dental clinics.
