The AWMF-0159 from Anokiwave is a Quad-Core 4x2 Beamforming IC that operates from 37-40 GHz. This IC has eight antenna ports that can be connected to four dual-polarized antenna elements to support both horizontal and vertical polarizations in a phased array system. It has two common ports, one for each polarization enabling simultaneous processing of both polarizations. The chip includes all requisite fast beam steering controls for phase & gain control and operates in half-duplex enabling a single antenna to support both Tx and Rx operation. This beamforming IC is ideal for 3GPP-compliant 5G communications arrays in the n260 band.
