The PRM2136X from Peraso is an mmWave RF Module that operates from 57 to 66 GHz. It has a channel bandwidth of 2.16 GHz and delivers a data rate of up to 3.5 Gbps. This module has an integrated 8+8 element phased array antenna in the circuit board which includes polarization diversity allowing optimal signal reception for any signal polarization. It is capable of 2-D beam steering in azimuth and elevation planes with a ±45° azimuth and ±40° elevation scan range and supports automatic polarization switching. This module is based on PRS4601 (802.11ad) baseband and PRS1145 RFIC. It requires a DC supply of 5 V, and consumes 3.2 W of power in Tx mode and 2.9 W of power in Rx.
The PRM2136X has multi-user support with up to 32 STA and supports fast roaming between APs. It supports π/2-BPSK, π/2-QPSK, π/2-16QAM modulation schemes. It is available in a package that measures 22 x 45 mm and is ideal for enterprise networking, factory automation, multi-AP and STA networks with fast roaming, wireless display, and untethered AR/VR applications.
