The MD-300 from Microchip Technology is a MEMS-Based TCXO/OCXO Dual-Band GNSS Disciplined Oscillator (GNSS DO) Module that supports GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, NavIC, QZSS, and SBAS constellations. It has an Rx sensitivity of up to -167 dBm and a position accuracy of up to 1.5 m CEP. This module has a cold start of 29 s and a hot start of 2 s. It has a navigation update rate of up to 20 Hz (single GNSS) & 10 Hz (multi GNSS). This GNSS DO features a MEMS-based OCXO or TCXO that generates a 10 MHz sine-wave output with a phase noise of less than -165 dBc/Hz. It has a timing accuracy of 5 ns, a start-up time of less than 10 s, and a warm-up time of less than 7 minutes. This oscillator module also produces a differential RF and 1 PPS LVDS output. It has spurious levels of less than -60 dBc and harmonics of less than -30 dBc.
The MD-300 requires a DC supply of 3.3 V and consumes less than 1.8 W (with OCXO) or 1.5 W (with TCXO) of power. It can be controlled via a UART (RS-485) serial communication interface. This module is available in a package that measures 2.5 x 1.5 x 0.33 mm. It is ideal for airborne, vehicle platforms, radar systems, LTE & LTE-A, laboratory testing, base stations, MILSATCOM, navigation & position systems, radio communications, UAV/UAS, manufacturing testing, and time synchronization applications.
