The LNF-LNC1.2_3.5A from Low Noise Factory (LNF) is a Cryogenic Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) that operates from 1.2 to 3.5 GHz. It provides 31 dB of gain with a noise figure of 0.02 dB and a noise temperature of 1.3 K. This LNA is manufactured using LNF’s proprietary InP HEMT technology and has an MMIC design that ensures minimal unit-to-unit variation. It is not hermetically sealed, and therefore, it must be operated in a vacuum environment when the temperature reaches below the dewpoint. This cryogenic amplifier requires a DC supply of 1 V and consumes 20 mA of current. The LNA is available in a module that measures 19.4 x 17.6 x 7.8 mm and has SMA (female) connectors.
