The ZX73-123+ from Mini-Circuits is a Voltage Variable Attenuator that operates from 6 to 12 GHz. It provides adjustable attenuation from 0 to 20 dB with an insertion loss of less than 1.6 dB and a typical return loss of 15 dB. Compared to digital step attenuators with minimum, discrete attenuation steps, this product can provide an arbitrarily small change in attenuation by changing the control voltage, without introducing any phase perturbations. The attenuator operates on a single positive voltage without needing an extra supply voltage. It is available in a module that measures 30.48 x 25.40 x 9.65 mm and is suitable for use in variable gain amplifier, for power level control, feed-forward amplifiers and testing applications.
