The 4401-8-95 from Weinschel by Spectrum Control is a Quad-Channel Solid-State Programmable Attenuator that operates from 0.3 to 8000 MHz. It is a cost-effective attenuator designed for customers who work with RF systems in challenging environments that require high performance. This attenuator consists of 4 channels and allows users to either independently control the attenuation in each channel or in a synchronized fashion, while maintaining excellent repeatability. It has an attenuation range of up to 95.25 dB in 0.25 dB step size. This solid-state attenuator has an insertion loss of less than 9 dB and a switching speed of 0.2 µs.  

The 4401-8-95 can be remotely controlled via Spectrum Control’s control software over a standard USB 2.0 communication protocol or an Ethernet interface that supports protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, TELNET and HTTP (via a web browser). This RoHS-compliant attenuator requires a DC supply of 4.4 to 5.25 V and consumes 200 mA of current. It is available as a module that measures 152.40 x 66.04 x 17.55 mm and has SMA (female) connectors. This programmable attenuator is ideal for automated test equipment (ATE), 3G/4G LTE/5G/DVB fading test simulation, MU-MIMO/WiMAX/Wi-Fi testing, and mobile handover simulation test environments.
