The RFoF-18G-Mini-Pre from RFOptic are RF Over Fiber Modules the operate from 1 to 18 GHz. This RFoF system consists of two separate modules - A Tx unit that converts an RF signal to an optical signal, and an Rx unit that converts an optical signal to an RF signal.

RF over Fiber modules (RFoF) are can be used for telecommunications and radar applications. Satellite, Point-to-Point antennas can be connected from several meters to many kilometers away from the control room. Base stations can be connected through fiber to remote sector antennas. It is ideal for applications like remote antenna control, SATCOM, radio telescopes, telecommunication, and optical delay lines.

The Tx RFoF module measures 150 x 215 x 33 mm and the Rx RFoF module measures 100 x 150 x 33 mm. They have an SMA connector at the RF port and are available in a 1U generic enclosure for indoor applications or an enclosure for outdoor use.
