The R&S FPL Series from Rohde & Schwarz are Signal and Spectrum Analyzers that operate from 10 Hz to 44 GHz. They are multi-purpose systems designed for spectrum analysis and accurate power analysis of analog and digitally-modulated signals. These spectrum analyzers consist of internal CW source and tracking generators, gate sweep filters, an attenuator, and interfaces. They can perform a wide range of measurements, including channel power, ACLR, SNR, and AM modulation depth. These analyzers can also measure the magnitude and phase of I/Q signals over an analysis bandwidth of up to 40 MHz. They have a DANL of -166 dBm and a phase noise of -108 dBc/Hz (at 10 kHz offset).
The R&S FPL Series analyzers utilizes an n-dB down marker to determine the 3 dB bandwidth of a bandpass filter and improve precision using through, short, and open normalization methods. These signal and spectrum analyzers can measure noise figure and gain of amplifiers using the Y-factor method, while maintaining low spurious levels for high accuracy. They feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen that provides a precise representation of signals and allows users to perform one-finger swipe to adjust the center frequency and 2-finger swipe to adjust level range. These analyzers can be remotely controlled using USB and LAN interfaces. The systems require an AC supply of 100 to 240 V and consume 65 W of power. They are available in compact benchtop enclosures measuring 408 x 186 x 235 mm and have N-type (female) connectors.
