The ThinAir Nexus from ThinKom is a SATCOM Terminal that operates from 27.5 to 31 GHz (Tx) and 17.7 to 21.2 GHz (Rx). It is designed to provide multi-orbit satellite connectivity via GSO and NGSO networks for next-generation fleets and delivers 4x to 8x higher efficiency than existing ESA antennas. This antenna system is based on a patented VICTS technology and utilizes modem-agnostic architecture that offers flexible operation across all networks. It provides 360° azimuth coverage, 7.5° to 90° elevation coverage, and a beam agility of more than 400°/s.

The ThinAir Nexus SATCOM terminal supports switchable circular polarization, and has a G/T ratio of 16 dB/K with an EIRP of up to 41.5 dBW/MHz. It delivers a data rate of up to 1.2 Gbps in the downlink and 190 Mbps in the uplink, with an efficiency of 4 bits/Hz, depending on the network. This system consumes 228 W of average power and is available in a compact, lightweight radome measuring 42 x 31 x 5 inches. It complies with RTCA/DO-160G environmental and WRC-19 5G terrestrial protection standards.
