The SX-610 from Pacific Defense is a Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) Card that operates in the L/U (UHF) and L/S bands. It is engineered to provide reliable voice, data, and positioning communications across air, land, and sea platforms. This SDR can operate in different security domains, enhancing interoperability and security certification for MOSA systems. It is powered by TI’s Sitara microprocessor and consists of security functions, diagnostics, and interfaces. This transceiver uses TrellisWare TSM waveforms for MANET networking and delivers a data rate of up to 16 Mbps (single-hop) over channel bandwidths of 1.25/4/10/20/40 MHz (configurable). It delivers an output power from 0.1 to 2 W.
The SX-610 can support over 250 users on a single RF channel and allows up to 32 talk groups to participate in the network. This SDR includes voice over the VICTORY data bus with full VICTORY/MORA interface support and utilizes built-in COMSEC with AES-256 encryption to deliver highly secure voice and data communications. It provides IPMI-based system management and web-enabled configuration and monitoring over a Gigabit Ethernet backplane interface. This SDR transceiver is available in a VITA 48.2, conduction-cooled, 3U OpenVPX enclosure.
