The TDSW002040X-198 from Teledyne e2v HiRel is an L-Band SPDT PIN Diode Switch that operates from 100 MHz to 2 GHz. The switch can handle a CW input power of up to 56 dBm (400 W) and peak input power of up to 60 dBm (1 KW). It has an insertion loss of 0.8 dB and provides 47 dB of isolation. This symmetrical switch is designed to minimize transmit-to-antenna loss while maximizing transmit-to-receive isolation. It gives designers the flexibility to assign either port as the transmitting port and the other port as the receiving port. The switch has been developed using PIN diodes and exhibits superior RF and thermal performance compared to MMIC or glass carrier-based technologies.

The TDSW002040X-198 is available in a multi-chip module that measures 10.1 x 6.2 x 2.5 mm and is ideal for use in radar T/R modules, IFF systems, high-power transmit/receive switching, switch bank filters and Mil-Com radios.
