The TDSW020A2T from Teledyne e2v HiRel Electronics is an Absorptive SPDT Switch that operates from DC to 20 GHz. It had been developed for use in demanding high reliability, space and defense applications and is now available with qualified material off-the-shelf. The switch has an insertion loss of less than 3 dB and provides isolation of more than 40 dB. It is fabricated using a robust 0.15 µm InGaAs pHEMT technology and is controlled using TTL-compatible voltage levels. The switch requires a DC supply of ±5 V with minimal power consumption. It is available as both a space screened die and an alternative hermetic-sealed QFN package that measures 5 x 5 mm with space level screening. The die is qualified per MIL-PRF-38534 Class K-equivalent for space applications.
