The module is also certified for used on FirstNet to provide prioritized connectivity services. It is now fully qualified to operate under the carrier’s LTE network, which expands the product’s application coverage throughout the US market.
Fibocom’s LTE-A module FM101-NA provides a good LTE network experience with high reliability and extended applicability. The new approval significantly reduces time to market for customers, which can leverage LTE networks to empower IoT applications such as FWA, public security, IIoT, C-V2X, smart cities, etc. Specially, certification of FM101-NA on FirstNet highlights the product’s capability to enhance security and provide reliable, secure and high-performance connectivity for first responders in the US.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon® X12+ LTE Modem, Fibocom’s FM101-NA is a high-value LTE-A Cat 6 module supporting WCDMA fallback. Featuring 3GPP Release 12 standards, the module delivers a maximum downlink rate of 300 Mbps and uplink rates of 50 Mbps. Available in the M.2 form factor measuring 30.0mm x 42.0mm x 2.3mm, the FM101-NA is compatible with Fibocom’s LTE Cat 4 module NL668, enabling customers to migrate from LTE to LTE-A while reducing investment concerns.
Along with abundant functionalities such as DFOTA, the Fibocom FM101-NA module supports a multi-constellation GNSS receiver, for high-performance positioning and navigation. Meanwhile, it supports multiple operating systems (Linux/ Android/ Windows), various Internet protocols as well as industry-standard interfaces (USB 3.0&2.0, PCIe 2.0, UART, USIM and PCM), allowing much flexibility and ease of integration for customer's deployment.
To date, Fibocom’s FM101-NA module has been certified by FCC, IC, PTCRB, and a number of other regulatory bodies. The mass production of FM101-NA is now ready to help customers worldwide develop their devices conveniently.
