Mini-Circuits Expands its µCeramIQ Family of High-Pass Filters for Compact RF Designs

Mini-Circuits has expanded its µCeramIQ high-rejection filter portfolio with the introduction of new models in the HFHKI-Series of high-pass filters, designed to support compact RF designs requiring high rejection and simplified integration in microstrip and coplanar waveguide (CPWG) layouts.

The new HFHKI-Series filters address the need for high selectivity and strong out-of-band suppression in space-constrained RF and microwave applications. By integrating an interposer board, the filters simplify implementation in both CPWG and microstrip launches, reducing design complexity and easing PCB integration.

According to Mini-Circuits, the HFHKI-Series supports passbands extending up to 15.5 GHz and delivers typical rejection levels of 70 dB, enabling effective suppression of unwanted low-frequency signals. The filters are also specified for excellent power handling, supporting use in demanding RF signal chains.

The devices feature a compact 2.95 × 2.46 mm footprint, allowing designers to achieve high-performance filtering while minimizing board area. The µCeramIQ technology is positioned as an alternative to larger and more costly filter solutions, offering a combination of size reduction, performance consistency, and integration flexibility. The expanded HFHKI-Series is intended for a range of RF and microwave applications where high rejection, compact size, and ease of implementation are critical.
