Amphenol RF Introduces New SMA Pigtail Cable Assemblies up to 18 GHz for Reliable Connectivity

Amphenol RF has announced the expansion of its SMA to unterminated cable assembly portfolio with a 0.085" conformable cable option. This configuration allows engineers and systems designers the ability to terminate the cable assembly to a connector or terminator of their choice, giving them ultimate flexibility. These SMA pigtail assemblies provide a reliable connection point for system integration and are ideal for use in test and measurement, aerospace and prototype development environments.

The SMA pigtail assembly supports applications up to 18 GHz and features a stainless-steel gold-plated body with a gold-plated beryllium copper contact. The SMA connector interface ensures broad compatibility with standard RF equipment used across test benches, instrumentation platforms and validation systems. The assembly is now available in standard lengths of 3 to 12 inches to support various design requirements and customizations.

These SMA pigtail assemblies join a growing catalog of unterminated cable assembly solutions engineered to provide more flexibility by reducing the need for custom cable builds in time-sensitive development cycles. They operate over a temperature range of -65°C to +165°C.
