Alaris Antennas and Alaris COJOT have made two additions to their portfolio: a direction-finding antenna (DF-A0389) and a steerable beam antenna (SBA1060B). The products were presented following their reveal at AOC Europe 2026.
The DF-A0389 is a direction-finding antenna that operates from 20 MHz to 18 GHz and supports four frequency bands: Band B (20 to 500 MHz), Band C (400 MHz to 2 GHz), Band D (2 to 8 GHz), and Band E (6 to 18 GHz). It uses a four-channel correlative direction-finding method and provides 2° RMS accuracy. The antenna includes four channels, per-channel low-noise amplification, and a passive bypass capability.
The direction-finding antenna includes an active GPS (L1) module, onboard navigation, and RF chain calibration. It has a nominal input impedance of 50 Ω and is controlled via RS485 serial at 115 kbaud. This antenna requires a 9 to 36 V DC power supply with a power consumption below 3 W. It has an IP66 rating, operates between –30 °C and +70 °C, and withstands wind speeds up to 160 km/h without ice. The unit is designed to MIL-STD-810F for vibration and shock in ground vehicle use and uses vertical polarization.
The SBA1060B is a steerable beam antenna that operates from 1000 to 6000 MHz and supports up to 20 discrete beam positions covering 360° azimuth. It uses electronic beam steering without mechanical movement and has a beam switching speed of less than 3 microseconds. The antenna has a gain of 6 to 13 dBi, a VSWR of less than 2.5, and a nominal impedance of 50 Ω.
The steerable beam antenna provides a 3 dB elevation beamwidth of 10 to 40° and an azimuth beamwidth of 30 to 60°, with a typical sidelobe level of −10 dB. It includes a selectable 40-element patch array radiator and supports null steering. The system requires a 19 to 32 V DC power supply compliant with MIL-STD-1275E and has a maximum current consumption of 8 A at P3dB and 28 V DC.
The antenna has a height of 675 mm, a diameter of 590 mm, and a weight of 20 kg, including mast mounts. It uses a female N-type RF connector and includes mast mount adapters for 40 to 60 mm masts. Applications listed include spectrum management, spectrum monitoring, radio direction finding, electronic surveillance, radio monitoring, signals intelligence, communications intelligence, electronic intelligence, counter-UAS, and electronic countermeasures.
