Silex Technology, a wireless networking solutions provider, has introduced the NX-1, a wireless LAN enterprise network analyzer. With Wi-Fi proliferation, 2.4 & 5 GHz bands are increasingly congested posing a challenge to ensuring reliable WLAN communication. Throughput degradation and frequent disconnects are expected to be further exacerbated by the explosive growth in wirelessly-connected Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices in crowded offices, public spaces, and Wi-Fi hotspots negatively impacting office productivity. The NX-1 visualizes the network’s RF environment, and helps identify and troubleshoot the causes of network instability.
The NX-1 provides an easy to understand simple menu even for those unfamiliar with specialized WLAN knowledge to analyze, sniff, and troubleshoot WLAN networks. Remote monitoring and PC-less operation are key differentiating NX-1 features eliminating technician, PC, and expensive analysis software on-site, reducing cost & field time.
The Analyzer helps users manage their WLAN networks using four powerful built-in functions:
- Environment Survey
- Spectrum Analyzer
- Network Observation
- Protocol Sniffer / Frame Capture
Just installing the NX-1 in the target WLAN environment, and turning it on starts automatic collection of the WLAN radio status information. The visual representation can be remotely viewed on a web browser using a built-in analysis function.
