Public safety and mission-critical radio users now have a feature-rich, reliable and economical mobile radio solution for narrowband and Project 25 (P25) communications.

The XG-25M mobile radio from Harris Corporation uses advanced technology to deliver critical interoperable communications and unique wireless applications to mission-critical users.

The Harris XG-25M mobile radio supports both wideband and narrowband channels.  Its software-defined architecture enables field upgrading to future operating modes, including P25 Phase 2.  The durable construction of the radio allows easy operation in demanding environments as well as during day-to-day activities.

"The Harris XG-25M is a great combination of usability, affordability and capability.  It offers a smart, cost-effective solution for agencies transitioning to P25 technology, while maintaining the functionality and dependability that is expected of a Harris radio," said Greg Henderson, director, Product Management, Harris Public Safety and Professional Communications.  "With the XG-25M radio, mission-critical users receive exceptional audio quality, Bluetooth(r) wireless connectivity and a better user experience because of its oversized display and large, easy-to-read buttons on a front-mount control unit."

The Harris XG-25M includes a complete complement of features suited for a wide variety of mission-critical users' requirements.  These features include an over-sized speaker and the AMBE+2 vocoder for enhanced audio, Bluetooth functionality and a rugged design that meets MIL-STD0810G for shock and vibration, dust, salt fog, humidity, rain, solar radiation, low pressure and temperature extremes.  The XG-25M also has an Ingress Protection rating of IP54 for dust intrusion and sloshing water.
