Automotive Radar Chipset by ARIA Sensing S.r.l.
Hydrogen Image

The Hydrogen v1p1 from ARIA Sensing is an Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Radar SoC that operates from 7.3 to 9.8 GHz, providing worldwide coverage capability. It is designed to achieve high detection accuracy. This radar SoC consists of 2x RISC-V processors to reduce BOM costs. It utilizes emPulse technology that supports advanced waveforms from single-pulse mode to coded pulses, optimizing the signal-to-noise ratio while maintaining low radiated power. This SoC can perform 1D/2D/3D MIMO beamforming with 4x4 MIMO, and offers excellent antenna array diversity and cross-range resolution. It has programmable pulse widths of 500 MHz to 1.8 GHz (and beyond), enabling very high resolution.

The Hydrogen v1p1 UWB SoC can be controlled remotely through a host via UART and SPI interfaces. This chip requires a DC supply of 1.8 V and consumes 90 mA of current. It is available in a QFN64 package measuring 9 x 9 mm.
