FireNet Image

The FireNet from BAE Systems is a Mission-Critical Communication System that operates from the VHF to S-band. This Modular Open System Architecture (MOSA) solution enables Line of Sight (LOS), voice, data, and network communications. It incorporates FireNet Tactical and the FireNet Link16 components.

The FireNet Link16 is a Concurrent Multinetting 4 (CMN-4)/Concurrent Contention Receive 4 (CCR4) compliant Link 16 terminal that sets the tactical data link standard and transmits secure, high-capacity, jam-resistant digital data. It is also interoperable with MIDS-JTRS/LVT terminals.

FireNet Tactical includes a 100 W RF amplifier, two independent channels of LOS and the TrellisWare TSM WREN sensor.

The FireNet Solution is available in 3 options - with an ARC-231A mounting tray replacement & remote RF amplifier, split radio with radio & RFA mounted separately, and self-contained radio with RF amplifier top mounted to a MOSA radio. It is compliant with already deployed ARC-231 radio systems, minimizing the integration effort for ARC-231A-equipped aircraft while providing maximum flexibility for new air and ground installations. This system has an oscillator that allows the Link 16 waveform to remain in sync in the most challenging environments. It is available in a compact package that measures 5.7 x 5.9 x 9.55 inches and can be controlled via an Ethernet interface. This system is ideal for manned/unmanned, air or ground applications.
