The FireNet from BAE Systems is a Mission-critical Communication System that operates in the VHF to S-band frequency bands. This modular open system architecture (MOSA) based solution enables Line of Sight (LOS), voice, data, and network communications. The system incorporates FireNet Tactical and the FireNet Link16 components. FireNet Tactical provides two independent channels of LOS and TrellisWare TSM WREN with frequency spanning the Very High Frequency (VHF) band through the S-band. The FireNet Link16 is a CMN-4 compliant Link 16 terminal that sets the tactical data link standard.
The FireNet is a SWaP-optimised solution for airborne systems, especially for those deployed with the ARC-231 radio systems.
