The SA10396 from Mtron is an RF Front-End (RFFE) Module that operates in the Ku-Band. It consists of a solid-state power amplifier (SSPA) and a low-noise amplifier (LNA). The SSPA operates from 14.40 to 14.83 GHz (Tx) delivering a saturated output power of 43-44 dBm (20-25 W) with a small signal gain of 51 dB and a power-added efficiency (PAE) of 22%. The LNA operates from 15.15 to 15.35 GHz (Rx) providing a small signal gain of 25-33 dB and has a noise figure of less than 1.8 dB with an output P1dB of +19 dBm. This module's integrated SSPA requires a DC supply of 28 V and consumes less than 4.5 A of current while the LNA requires a DC supply of 28 V and consumes up to 0.15 A of current. It is available as a module that measures 3.0 x 3.0 x 0.6 inches and has SMA (female) connectors.
