The ADPA7009 from Analog Devices is an MMIC Power Amplifier (PA) that operates from 20 to 54 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of up to 29 dBm (0.5 W) with a gain of 19.5 dBm and has a noise figure of 6.5 dB. This GaAs pHEMT based amplifier has a return loss of 17.5 dBm (input) and 22 dBm (output). It requires a DC supply of 5 V and consumes 750 mA of current. The amplifier features inputs and outputs that are internally matched to 50 ohms, facilitating easy integration into multichip modules (MCMs). It is available as a die that measures 2.750 x 1.845 x 0.102 mm and is ideal for test instrumentation, satellite communications, military and space applications.
